Serpents - my thick and thin 'art yarn'
Quite a lengthy process to produce my serpents! Each one is based upon an idea or image, for example, number 8 is strawberries and cream. The roving is selected and other colours/additions added and blended together before spinning a thick and thin single. In order for the twist to stay in this I wash it in hot water once it's finished.
Renalde - twine/string
A 3-ply, strong twine/string made up of one third nettles, one third hemp and one third flax - based upon a children's fairy story called the Nettle Spinner.
Ringlets - dyed and undyed
I love spinning long curly locks. I spun these around a woollen hand spun core.
